Promhills Cabins

Accommodation at Wilsons Promontory

We are so lucky to have some AMAZING fresh produce made and grown in South Gippsland and on the Prom Coast. Within just 20 minutes drive of Promhills, you can find locally caught fish, hand made cheese, wine, free range pork and olive oil. Not to mention the fabulous locally harvested fruit and vegetables.

You can enjoy cooked locally caught fresh fish every Thursday night from the Yanakie General Store.

There are also restaurants who focus on locally produced food, we highly recommend dining at Moos at Meeniyan while you are here to sample some of the beautiful foods locally grown and produced in Prom Country and South Gippsland.

We also have some really great farmers markets on in Prom Country. They are in a different town each weekend, and most weekends there is one on. Make sure you detour to pick up local produce either on your way here on when you are returning home.

The produce available varies between seasons and market, but at most you will find a selection of: cheese, honey, olive oil, bread, fruit, vegetables, jams, preserves, sauces, coffee, pork, venison, fish, seafood, handmade soaps, eggs, plants, bush flowers, nuts, fruit trees, herbs, cakes, berries, pies and there's also normally some hot food for purchase while you stroll around.

The local farmers market schedule is below, generally they start at about 8am and finish around lunchtime, most are plastic bag free so bring a reusable bag for your purchases.
