We have some really great farmers markets on in Prom Country. They are in a different town each weekend, and most weekends there is one on. Make sure you detour to pick up local produce either on your way here on when you are returning home.
The produce available varies between seasons and market, but at most you will find a selection of: cheese, honey, olive oil, bread, fruit, vegetables, jams, preserves, sauces, coffee, pork, venison, fish, seafood, handmade soaps, eggs, plants, bush flowers, nuts, fruit trees, herbs, cakes, berries, pies and there's also normally some hot food for purchase while you stroll around.
The local farmers market schedule is below, generally they start at about 8am and finish around lunchtime, most are plastic bag free so bring a reusable bag for your purchases.
